It has been over a year since I ventured into this noble and challenging task of grooming and shaping the young boys in Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland. As fifth Principal of the school, my heart fills with pride and pleasure as I pen down a few lines of message from the academic standpoint. The academic year 2015-2016 has just closed and it was a year of satisfaction in our endeavour to make the academic life, a smooth journey full of joy and discovery in the school. To mentioned a few, two cadets have added a page of history of our school by securing 10 CGPA in CBSE Class X exam and participation of CBSE National Level Science Exhibition held at Delhi, where Sainik School Punglwa was the only one from the NE region and one amongst the only two Sainik Schools from the country that qualified to present science project at CBSE national science exhibition at Delhi.
The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to keep pace and reflect on the education system that prevails today. Amidst this change, we create an environment to provide educational experience that will develop high academic standard and discipline of all cadets. Through the unflinching efforts of faculty members, the school has shown its worth in imparting quality education and nurturing values in the young minds. While it's not the time to feel complacent over the achievements but rather continue to progress. It gives me great satisfaction that the school is moving firmly towards the overall development and personality of the cadets.
We pledge to continue this journey on the road to excellence as we stand committed to ensure development of each cadet as a better citizen of tomorrow.
